Johnny Cash's long-lost album is coming out next spring
Johnny Cash may have died in 2003, but that won't stop him from releasing a new album next spring. Out Among The Stars was recorded between 1981 and 1984, but it was only recently discovered by the Cash family as they were cleaning out their father’s old papers and documents. It features 12 tracks, none of which have ever been released, including duets with Waylon Jennings and June Carter Cash. Billy Sherrill, mastermind of Nashville’s “countrypolitan” sound, produced the album, which also features Marty Stuart on guitar and mandolin.
Out Among The Stars is available for pre-order now.
