In keeping with the newly-established tradition of finding something that makes him laugh when he’s stoned and turning it into a movie, today finds the release of the trailer for Kevin Smith’s upcoming horror-comedy, Yoga Hosers. What begins as a distaff Clerks soon morphs into an inexplicable experiment in mini sentient Nazi bratwurst attacks. And Johnny Depp is back with his odious character from Tusk, Guy LaPointe, a Canadian manhunter who sounds like he’s from Canada the way the Swedish Chef sounds like he’s from Sweden. And the two slacker employees forced to take on the racist meats are played by Harley Quinn Smith and Lily-Rose Depp, the real-life daughters of Smith and Depp. It’s unclear whether Smith has yet won his appeal to get the film rated PG-13, but such a victory probably won’t sway our critic A.A. Dowd from his pronouncement that the film—while a “harmless waste of time”—is also “close to unwatchable.” You can not-see for yourself when Yoga Hosers comes out July 29.
