Coming Soon says it has confirmed that Johnny Depp will bless the Jonah Hill-led remake of 21 Jump Street with his presence, and contribute a winking cameo in the R-rated big-screen adaptation. A drop-in from Depp has been rumored for a long time, and might have remained a secret had the Internet not been so ruthless in its own investigation—getting to know the 21 Jump Street movie in homeroom, gaining its trust, accompanying it to after-school parties where it seamlessly blended in by dropping the hip lingo of the day and proving it was familiar with popular music. And of course, all of this was just a ruse to extract the information it needed, because that’s what happens down on Jump Street.
