It’s well known that former Smiths collaborators Morrissey and Johnny Marr agree on little these days, other than the likelihood of the band reuniting remains nil and that they don’t particularly care for David Cameron. But the world may soon be able to read about Marr’s issues with Morrissey in his very own words: Rolling Stone picked up on a tweet from the guitarist saying that he’d been “offered a book deal, a serious one,” and that while he’s worried about it taking away time from writing songs (Marr is currently a member of The Cribs), “It will happen.” Marr later elaborated, “It will be an autobiography of course, that or about my collection of fascinating public bus tickets from the '80's. That would be cool.” Interestingly, Morrissey has been at work on his own autobiography over the past few years, but even if the two books, as RS muses, end up being published at the same time, it’s unlikely that the material will compete in subject matter, seeing as Marr’s memoir is likely to be focused on his music career, while Morrissey’s will probably be a detailed list of every meat-eating individual on Earth who should die horribly.
