Variety reports that Angelina Jolie is now likely to star in the film soon to be called something other than Edwin A. Salt. A highly regarded spy thriller screenplay written by Kurt Wimmer (Street Kings, Ultraviolet) to be directed by Phillip Noyce (Patriot Games), Edwin A. Salt captured then lost the interest of Cruise.
Meanwhile, The Hollywood Reporter has a story suggesting that Cruise may star in something called Food Fight, "a warmhearted comedy about a snooty New York chef who is forced to cook meals at a school cafeteria." There is no word on which female star could replace him should he pursue another project.
