Jonny Greenwood to perform There Will Be Blood score live in London

Despite its ineligibility for an Academy Award in 2008, the Jonny Greenwood-composed score for Paul Thomas Anderson’s There Will Be Blood is widely renowned as one of the best modern soundtracks. Greenwood has since gone on to produce the score for Anderson’s The Master and the upcoming Inherent Vice, and now he’s set to revisit the film that started it all. The Roundhouse venue in London is hosting a special screening of There Will Be Blood this summer, with the Radiohead guitarist and the London Contemporary Orchestra performing its haunting score live. The orchestra comprises more than 50 musicians, including many who have performed Greenwood’s compositions. Greenwood himself will accompany on his signature Ondes Martenot on August 6 and 7. More information and tickets are available here. No word yet on whether milkshakes will be served.
