Jordan Peele shares freaky new Us poster, says he's gifting us a trailer for Christmas

Jordan Peele’s Us remains cloaked in shadows, but his Get Out follow-up is slowly shuffling into the light. We’ve seen a poster, some casting notices, and, this past Monday, a tantalizingly vague plot synopsis that describes a family, a beach house, and some “shocking,” uninvited visitors. The slow burn paid off this morning when a new, frightening poster shrieked onto Twitter, offering us what might be the most revealing look yet at the anticipated flick.

There’s plenty to pore over here, from the gold-plated scissors to that lone, fingerless glove to the red cloak, which we’re just gonna go ahead and assume isn’t there to keep this person warm. Of particular note is the shape of the scissors’ finger holes, which are designed to mirror the two heads featured in film’s original poster. See that one below.

Peele followed the post by promising that a trailer would arrive on Christmas. How’s that for a gift?

Us will snip its way into theaters on March 15.
