Jorge Garcia joins Adam Sandler’s traveling vacation crew

For years, professional vacation taker Adam Sandler has been a siren of mediocrity, tempting other Hollywood stars to join him and float in his metaphorical, pee-filled swimming pool of low expectations and moderate box office success. Now, Jorge Garciabest known to TV audiences as Hurley from Losthas given in to the haunting song of professional laziness, signing on to The Ridiculous 6, the first of Sandler’s four Netflix-financed movies/excursions. Garcia will be joining the already-cast Rob Schneider, Terry Crews, Taylor Lautner, and Luke Wilson, both as one of Sandler’s fictional half-brothers in the Old West comedy, and as yet another damned soul, chained forever to the movie-making Flying Dutchman we know as Happy Madison Productions. Other newcomers to Sandler’s traveling party squad include Whitney Cummings, playing the wife of perennial damned soul Jon Lovitz, and Breaking Bad’s Lavell Crawford.

Perhaps ominously, Garcia’s last major film role prior to The Ridiculous 6 was in the Kevin Hart-starring The Wedding Ringer, a movie with a name suspiciously close to one that Sandler made before he realized that setting a film in New Jersey was a waste of a perfectly good travel budget. Garcia also has a recurring role on CBS’s Hawaii Five-0, which, as it turns out, is still on TV.
