Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Channing Tatum to be a bunch of crazy Guys And Dolls
Suggesting that this year’s Oscars opening number was really just one long audition reel, 20th Century Fox has begun pursuing Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Channing Tatum for its remake of Guys And Dolls, having just acquired the musical’s rights, and confirmed that both actors still have legs for dancing and heads for hats. Both Gordon-Levitt and Tatum are said to be interested in taking on the Sky Masterson and Nathan Detroit roles portrayed by, respectively, Marlon Brando and Frank Sinatra in the 1955 film version, which similarly exposed the dank criminal underworld of illegal dice games and taking nice ladies out for milkshakes. Neither Gordon-Levitt nor Tatum is officially attached yet—and the same goes for a writer and director—though both are said to be interested. Expect all these things to begin moving quickly as, like us, you busy yourself with jokes about that one Simpsons episode.
