Joseph Gordon-Levitt avoids plummeting to his death in first trailer for The Walk

This first teaser for Robert Zemeckis’ The Walk doesn’t tell us much about the movie, but it does show Joseph Gordon-Levitt with weird hair and a totally rad turtleneck precariously standing on the edge of one of the World Trade Center towers in 1974. Thankfully, we know that The Walk is based on the memoirs of Philippe Petit, a guy who has already had his story told in the documentary Man On Wire. If we, or anyone, really wanted to know what’s going to happen in The Walk, we/they could just watch that documentary.

However, Man On Wire didn’t have Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Ben Kingsley, or GIANT FLYING WORDS that highlight the fact that The Walk is going to be in 3D. By the way, wouldn’t GIANT FLYING WORDS make it a lot more difficult to walk on a tightrope between the Twin Towers? We’ll know for sure when The Walk hits theaters in October of next year.
