Josh Radnor takes the next natural step after architect and drama teacher: Nazi hunter

According to Deadline, Josh Radnor has joined the cast of executive producer Jordan Peele’s Amazon drama series The Hunt, playing a member of Al Pacino’s secret team of Nazi hunters living in ‘70s New York. Radnor’s character is Lonny Flash (great name), a movie star by day who tracks down high-ranking Nazi officers conspiring against the United States by night, appearing alongside the aforementioned Pacino, Logan Lerman, Jerrika Hinton, and Carol Kane. The Hunt was created by David Weil, who will also act as co-showrunner with Nikki Toscano.

This will be Radnor’s first regular TV gig since NBC’s Rise, on which he played a high school teacher who decided he should also run the drama department, forcing out the woman who already ran the drama department, so he could blow everyone in a small town away with his production of Spring Awakening. Before that, he appeared on PBS’ Mercy Street and threw away years of sitcom goodwill with the awful How I Met Your Mother finale.
