Joss Whedon still teasing you with Dr. Horrible sequel

Rest assured (or maybe don’t?) that even as Joss Whedon is in the thick of preparing for The Avengers, his mind occasionally still wanders to that sequel he’s long been promising to Dr. Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog. And as he told the New York Times, he feels a sense of “shame” that he’s yet to put it together, but he wants everyone to know that they’ve already “got several songs near completion and we’ve got a very specific structure”—it’s the fact that “we’ve just all got jobs” that’s keeping them from moving forward. Whedon won’t share any other details, other than to joke that it will be called Dr. Horrible And The Kingdom Of The Crystal Skull and that “by the time we finish it, Neil [Patrick Harris] will be just as old.” An offering of wholehearted commitment, tempered with regret over certain obstacles that keeps him from making it; sounds like the Whedonverse’s cue to launch an unnecessary fundraising campaign.
