Judd Apatow needs your help with his Garry Shandling documentary

Judd Apatow is currently prepping a documentary about his hero Garry Shandling. The comedy impresario solicited any material that may be of use on Twitter yesterday.

Though details on the project are still sparse, Apatow has teased some of the interviews he’s conducting on social media. Back in November, he posted an image with Kevin Nealon, and last month he posed with Sacha Baron Cohen and Jeff Goldblum. After Shandling died last year, Apatow, who worked on The Larry Sanders Show, organized his memorial. There, Apatow described the late stand-up as a “comedy buddha.” In his book Sick In The Head, Apatow writes: “From the beginning, Garry Shandling was one of my favorite comedians.”
