June Diane Raphael is writing a book to help women run for office
Plenty of comedians write books, some of which even promise to offer advice to their readers. But what June Diane Raphael is promising aims to be more practical and galvanizing than most. The Grace And Frankie star is teaming with Kate Black of Emily’s List to author the The Badass Woman’s Guide To Running For Office and Changing The World. The book is described in a press release as “a concrete, funny, stylish, accessible, and interactive women’s guide to running for office” that will be part “workbook/planner” and part “how-to text.” Raphael’s pedigree implies it will be hilarious, while Black’s suggests it will have on-the-ground insight. The only unfortunate detail is that the book will come out in 2019, meaning it won’t be available for all the women running in the midterm elections next year.
