Jurassic Park 4 has been delayed, marking the first time anything's ever gone wrong at Jurassic Park

Though recent photos seemed to suggest that director Colin Trevorrow was well on his way to meeting Jurassic Park 4’s June 13, 2014 release date, in addition to enjoying a nice island trip, Universal today has announced that the film has been postponed. Rumors of a delay first surfaced on Ain’t It Cool News, which picked up on various tweets from crew members who said the project was “on hold” or, in a far more negative assessment, even bid “goodbye” to the film altogether. But the studio has put an expectedly upbeat spin on the situation, saying the sequel’s only been pushed back to its as-yet-unannounced new date to give “the studio and filmmakers adequate time to bring audiences the best possible version of the fourth installment in Universal’s beloved franchise,” such as ensuring that it contains dinosaurs. In other words, Universal is making sure that its Jurassic Park spares no expense, and when has that never worked out?
