Inspired by the big winner at last night’s 87th Academy Awards, Sporcle has released a new quiz asking players to name all 22 Best Picture Oscar winners with one-word titles. (It’s a quiz that would have remained conveniently applicable whether Birdman, Boyhood, Whiplash, or Selma won last night.) This is probably an “either you know it or you don’t” type quiz, although those not up on their Oscar history can try entering random one-word titles and hope for a match (Hint: Annie, Juno, and Ted aren’t on the list).
For those who need even more of a hint, we’ll say that nine of these are either first or last names of people and three are names of geographical locations. Of the remaining titles, four are proper nouns (including a nickname and an alias), while the rest are either nouns, adjectives, or nouns that can also be verbs.
