Justin Bieber needs a break, y'all
Justin Bieber’s an enigma, a Christ follower with a lot of feelings who, even in his mid-twenties, somehow can’t stop acting like the bucket-pissing goon he was as a teenager. It’s hard to blame the pop star, though, not when he’s spent the majority of his life being dissected by media and molded by sycophantic coattail chasers. Let’s consider it a good thing, then, that the dude is stepping away from music to enjoy a little time out of spotlight.
Bieber announced as much in an Instagram post on Monday. “So I read a lot of messages saying you want an album,” it began, going on to touch on Bieber’s 2016 Purpose World Tour. “I’ve toured my whole teenage life, and early 20s, I realized and as you guys probably saw I was unhappy last tour and I don’t deserve that and you don’t deserve that, you pay money to come and have a lively energetic fun light concert and I was unable emotionally to give you that near the end of the tour.”
Now, Bieber says, he’s “focused on repairing some of the deep rooted issues that I have as most of us have, so that I don’t fall apart, so that I can sustain my marriage and be the father I want to be.”
Music’s in the boy’s bones, though, and the rest of the message unfolds in a weird, rhythmic style—replete with a reference to his “undeniable swag”—before taking a hard right turn into what we’re assuming is church-speak (?).
“Music is very important to me but Nothing comes before my family and my health. I will come with a kick ass album ASAP, my swag is undeniable and my drive is indescribable his love is supernatural his grace is that reliable…. the top is where I reside period whether I make music or not the king said so. đź‘‘ but I will come with a vengeance believe that.”
We hope he gets himself a big, fat burrito. See the full post below.
