That animated Troll dolls movie is gaining traction—we first reported on the film about the Dam Things back 2010, and only four years passed before any actors were attached. Anna Kendrick signed on to voice a perky troll last year, and now The Wrap reports that Justin Timberlake will also lend his pipes to one of the towering hairdos that will pass for characters in Trolls. Timberlake will play a survivalist troll named Branch who sets off on an “epic adventure” with Kendrick’s Princess Poppy. Poppy is described as “relentlessly upbeat,” so we might learn that optimism is the one survival skill that Branch lacks. There will also be plenty of music, in case you were worried the two actors would be squandered in the film. Mike Mitchell is co-directing Trolls along with his Shrek Forever After collaborator Walt Dohrn. Trolls is still expected to be released on November 4, 2016.
