Justin Timberlake will also be in Woody Allen’s next movie

This summer, Justin Timberlake voices an animated creature in the movie Trolls. He’ll then go on to star in a Woody Allen film. Make of that what you will. According to Deadline, Timberlake is the latest to sign on for Allen’s next joint, following behind Kate Winslet and Jim Belushi. This will mark Timberlake’s first major live action role since 2013’s Inside Llewyn Davis, though he did have a cameo in The Lonely Island’s Popstar: Never Stop Never Stopping.

Just who Timberlake will play in the Allen movie reportedly set in late 1950s New York is anyone’s guess. Maybe a sensitive and neurotic jazz musician? But Deadline notes the movie will begin shooting in the fall. Given Allen’s track record of one movie per summer, it will likely get middling reviews about a year from now.
