Justin Timberlake's new record is just the first of two he'll put out this year

Justin Timberlake’s The 20/20 Experience just came out today, but apparently it’s just the first of two records the singer is planning on putting out this year. Roots drummer Questlove spilled the beans last week on OkayPlayer when he posted that Vol. 2 of 20/20 would arrive in November, and that it would include another 10 new Justin Timberlake songs. That means, between the two records, Timberlake will be releasing 20 songs this year—something that might serve to explain the project’s title a little more.

Until last night, Questlove’s statement was just hearsay, but Timberlake confirmed the rumor at his release party last night, saying, “The whole thing about this being the first half of the album is true.” Then he tightened up his tie, smirked at the audience, and danced away, thrilled that he’d tricked the world into frothing over his ability to produce what is still a pretty below-average number of songs for a successful solo artist.
