As your local emergency broadcast network has no doubt already informed you, Kanye West’s Twitter feed has finally issued forth the name of his next album, due Nov. 22: “The official album title is and always was…. MY BEAUTIFUL DARK TWISTED FANTASY,” it said, which is both a needless overabundance of adjectives and a lie, considering it was just a couple months ago that we were lamenting the loss of inchoate title Good Ass Job. Kanye promised that the first song on his new record would be a RZA-produced track called “Dark Fantasy,” which will hopefully explain how we got from three college-themed concept albums to something that even Evanescence would be like, “It’s a bit over-the-top, no?”
