Kate Hudson will try being an action movie star now
Apparently tired of starring in the kind of rom-com fare that makes you want to lob burning copies of Cosmo at the projector, Kate Hudson is taking a shot at playing beleaguered women in action movies. Hudson is set to star in Everly, a thriller from Knights Of Badassdom director Joe Lynch, playing a woman who has to fight a slew of hitmen that her mobbed-up ex-boyfriend sends to her apartment. (Presumably her ex was forced to watch 10 Things I Hate About You How To Lose A Guy In 10 Days.) So, Jennifer Lopez in Enough meets Jodie Foster in Panic Room with just a touch of Sister Act? That probably won’t be the pitch when the project heads to the European Film Market next week to look for buyers—though it might be stronger than “who wants to see Kate Hudson kick some serious mafia ass?”
