Kate McKinnon and Mila Kunis to star in spy comedy
As reported by Variety, Kate McKinnon and Mila Kunis are going to join forces for The Spy Who Dumped Me, a new action-comedy about a pair of friends who take on some kind of covert espionage mission when they realize that a guy one of them used to date is a spy. That leaves a lot of questions about why they’re going on this mission, what kind of mission it is, and how they can just go on an impromptu spy mission, but those are the only details in the Variety story. The movie is being directed by Chasing Life‘s Susanna Fogel, who is also co-writing the script.
It sounds like this project has been in the works for a while, with Variety noting that there was some trouble making sure both McKinnon and Kunis’ schedules lined up. That has all apparently been worked out, and filming will start once SNL wraps up its season.
