After negotiations that presumably involved heated back and forth discussions about backend points and whose job it is to do the dishes, Katey Sagal has confirmed that she will appear in her husband Kurt Sutter’s new project for FX. The Bastard Executioner, a period piece about a knight forced into the role of medieval executioner, was ordered to pilot by the network last year. Sagal revealed her involvement with Executioner during a conference call promoting her and Sutter’s current FX series, Sons Of Anarchy, which is set to air its final episode on December 9. It’s not clear at this time what role Sagal will play on Sutter’s latest attempt to create history’s bloodiest, grittiest TV show, but rumors do suggest that her agent secured an executive producing credit on the couple’s next Netflix binge.
