Katherine Heigl will play the lead in a new romantic comedy that definitely sounds like it should star Katherine Heigl. The former Grey’s Anatomy star will play Jenny in Jenny’s Wedding, about a woman, named Jenny, who decides to marry after years of having no love life. Because it’s a movie, Jenny’s choice of partner will tear her family apart but, “in order to reconnect, everyone including Jenny, must reinvent themselves.” Let’s assume they all become crust punks.
Other actors booked for the film include Tom Wilkinson, Linda Emond, and Grace Gummer. The film was written and will be directed by Mary Agnes Donogue, who also wrote Beaches.
