Kathy Griffin apologizes for bloody anti-Trump photo shoot
Just hours after a photo shoot featuring her bearing the bloody, decapitated fake head of Donald Trump surfaced online, Kathy Griffin has apologized for causing the online uproar she knew damn well a photo like that would produce. In a 30-second video posted to Twitter, a contrite Griffin says basically that she’s been a comedian for a long time, and so she sometimes loses perspective on what most people find offensive. “I went too far, I made a mistake, and I was wrong,” she says, adding that she will ask photographer Tyler Shields to take the image down from his website and social media channels. You can watch Griffin’s apology below.
