Katy Perry covers "Niggas In Paris" and it's as awkward as you figured that would be
Katy Perry appeared on BBC's Live Lounge for what would've otherwise been a non-noteworthy TV-show performance had she not taken a stab at Jay-Z and Kanye West's "Niggas In Paris." And you know what? It's exactly as awkward and ill-considered as you might expect, and perhaps even offensive, if you happen to think that a white pop singer attempting a song with "niggas" in the title is inherently wrong. (Perry says "ninjas" instead of "niggas," which probably only makes her cover worse.) But while some people are getting pretty worked up about this, we're inclined to treat this like a wedding video of senior citizens dancing to "Rapper's Delight." In other words, enjoy!
