Keegan-Michael Key will probably help hunt The Predator
Fresh off his final performance as Obama’s anger translator Luther on last night’s Daily Show, Keegan-Michael Key has found a new outlet for his barely suppressed rage: hunting aliens. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Key is in final negotiations for a role in Shane Black’s The Predator, joining Boyd Holbrook, Olivia Munn, and Moonlight’s Trevante Rhodes, who joined the picture yesterday.
According to THR, Holbrook and Rhodes will be playing a pair of Marines, while Munn is a scientist investigating the latest alien hunter to choose Earth as its personal game preserve. It’s not clear yet how Key will be swept up into the action; previous reports suggested that the movie would center on suburbia, where it’s easy to imagine the comic actor getting pulled into the chaos, but Black has since denied that that’s the case.
The Predator is currently scheduled to cloak its way into theaters on February 9, 2018.
