Kellyanne Conway has a righteous Glamour Shot of herself in her home
The internet has been tittering away this week after it was revealed that Kellyanne Conway keeps a Glamour Shots-style picture of herself in her home. The photo, which is from a 2009 “Pretty In Mink” calendar featuring some of D.C.’s most luminous Republican gals, finds Conway gazing into the distance while clad in what the calendar says is “a navy sheared beaver jacket with fox trim and detachable hood.”
Conway is the calendar’s Miss January, meaning she’s ready to help the South ring in Lee-Jackson Day, the controversial holiday that helps celebrate the region’s Confederate heritage by way of Robert E. Lee and Stonewall Jackson. She’s joined in the calendar by fellow right-wing mink-lovers like Ann Coulter, Star Parker, and Michelle Malkin.
Conway—who the Clare Boothe Luce Policy Institute calendar says would be the “queen of polling,” if there were such a thing—has the photo in her living room, at least according to video from a recent interview with The Bergen Record. In the screenshot above, which has been widely shared on Twitter, Conway can be seen throwing her daughter’s hair into a ponytail as the photo gazes on from an end table behind her.
While Conway is certainly more than justified in having the photo in her home—she looks good, it’s a nice picture, it’s her home, who cares, etc.—some people on the internet have pointed out that the photo does make Conway look a little like either Sarah Jessica Parker’s character from Hocus Pocus or Katniss Everdeen in The Hunger Games, but without all that “screw the government” zeal.
She’s also got a strong Joan Callamezzo-from-Parks And Recreation thing happening in the picture, but that seems about right.
