Kelsey Grammer and Stephen Moyer on board with Killing Jesus

Drawn in by those seven little words no actor can resist—“based on a book by Bill O’Reilly”—Kelsey Grammer and Stephen Moyer have both signed on to the upcoming National Geographic Channel movie Killing Jesus. Grammer will bring his experience as haughty intellectual Frasier Crane to the role of King Herod, the Roman King of Judea who tried to kill the baby Jesus. Similarly, Moyer will bring his experience as immortal vampire Bill Compton to the role of Pontius Pilate, the Roman governor who actually succeeded in killing the adult Jesus.

Grammer and Moyers join a cast that also includes Entourage’s Emmanuelle Chriqui, Indiana Jones’ John Rhys-Davies, Hercules’ Rufus Sewell, The Night Shift’s Eoin Macken, Defiance’s Stephanie Leonidas, Camelot’s Tamsin Egerton, and a bunch of other Jesus-killers. Killing Jesus is set to debut on the cable channel in 2015, probably sometime between the War On Christmas and the War On Easter.
