Kesha makes a comeback at Coachella with a little help from Zedd
Though her ongoing legal battle against Sony and Lukasz “Dr. Luke” Gottwald has kept her out of the studio, Kesha recently announced she’d begin making her way back to the stage. The Warrior singer has performed at a handful of smaller shows in the last year, as well as booked dates at festivals including Nashville’s Dylan Fest. But she surprised fans and Coachella attendees when she joined electro-house artist and producer Zedd onstage at the Indio, California festival on Saturday.
Kesha and Zedd performed a duet of his song “True Colors,” off his most recent album. Though TMZ had already kind of spoiled the surprise, Saturday’s performance was still notable for being the first one Kesha’s done under her own name since filing suit against alleged abuser Gottwald—she’d previously performed with newly-minted band Yeast Infection. And while showing his support for Kesha, Zedd also offered to produce a song for the singer.
