Kesha returns to the studio, will release a song with Zedd this week
As reported by Billboard, Kesha returned to the recording studio this week for the first time (as far as anyone knows) since her huge legal battle with Sony and Lukasz “Dr. Luke” Gottwald began. Kesha was recording vocals for a collaboration with electro-house DJ Zedd, and she posted a photo on her Instagram in which she noted in the caption that “it’s a miracle when someone gives you a chance at finding your voice again.” She also added that Zedd (whose real name is Anton Zaslavski) is “a fucking beautiful person with a heart of gold.” The pair had previously teamed up for a performance at Coachella earlier this month, with Zedd pledging his support for Kesha and offering to produce a song for her.
Surprisingly, Kesha fans won’t have to wait long to hear the fruits of this collab, as Zedd posted on Twitter that “True Colors”—presumably a single version of the song they performed at Coachella—will be available on this Friday.
