Brace yourselves for a shirtless Kevin Bacon, carrying a lamb on his shoulder. That is what is on display in the first trailer for Jill Soloway’s new Amazon show, I Love Dick, based on Chris Kraus’ feminist text of the same name. Soloway repertory player Kathryn Hahn stars as a filmmaker who becomes infatuated with the swaggering cowboy professor working with her husband in Marfa, Texas. She begins writing letters addressed to this compelling academic. “Dear Dick, you’re like a Roman god bringing the spirit of sex into our lives,” she narrates. I Love Dick premieres May 12.
