Being a father is a tough job, especially if your kid has some kind of supernatural power. In the most recent trailer for Midnight Special, Michael Shannon tries to show his son that he loves him no matter how much his eyes glow or whatever. In this trailer for The Darkness, Kevin Bacon takes a different approach. Instead of showing his son that he loves him, Bacon is just terrified of the weird stuff that his kid does. To be fair, the kid in The Darkness is a bit scarier than the kid in Midnight Special, what with all of the black handprints covering the walls and random wild animals that seem to have invaded the Bacon family’s house.
The Darkness was directed by Greg McLean and will be in theaters on Friday, May 13
