Kids these days don’t know the ‘90s classics

Here’s some breaking news to liven up your Friday: You’re old.

YouTubers The Fine Bros. decided to gather a bunch of modern teens to listen to a few jams and classics from the ’90s. They ask the teens to name the song and the artist and, as you’d expect, the kids don’t really score 100 percent on the quiz. Turns out Chumbwamba and Coolio aren’t as ubiquitous as you might think.

Perhaps the best part is at the end, where one teenage girl, expresses her shame at her lackluster musical knowledge. After the girl calls herself “a ‘90s kid,” the interviewer asks when she was born. Her answer? December 10, 1999. Because, after all, barely being a fully functioning human being is no excuse for a lack of pop music knowledge.
