Kit Harington to host SNL, BTS to stop by Studio 8H a week later
Just a day ahead of the wildly anticipated Game of Thrones final season premiere, Kit Harington will host Saturday Night Live on April 6. If they can make it through the night without someone wailing, “You know nothing, Jon Snow,” then we’ll consider it a smashing success.
The announcement was made today via SNL’s official Twitter account.
This will be – perhaps inexplicably – Harington’s first time stopping by Studio 8H. His musical partner in crime for the night, Sara Bareilles, will also be making her SNL debut just a day after the release of her new album, Amidst The Chaos. Bareilles ended her limited Waitress run on Broadway early February, so maybe she won’t be sequestered by the piano and will actually get to join the cast for some fun at some point.
Shit is scheduled to really hit the fan when K-pop superstars BTS make their own debut at the late night comedy show alongside veteran host Emma Stone on April 13. The South Korean boy band recently made history at this year’s Grammy Awards when they became the first K-pop group to ever present on their stage. Similarly to Bareilles, BTS will also grace fans with their new album Map Of The Soul : Persona a day ahead of their musical guest shift. This will be Stone’s fourth time hosting.
