Klaxons win Mercury Prize

Dance-rock band Klaxons, the latest hip and impossibly stylish British band you don't give a shit about, has won The Mercury Prize, beating out Amy Winehouse, who still the stole show by not smoking crack and performing "Love Is A Losing Game." The other nominees included: Scottish foursome The View, one-man band Maps, Bat For Lashes – the pseudonym of singer/songwriter/musician Natasha Khan – Dizzee Rascal, Jamie T, The Young Knives, Irish singer/songwriter Fionn Regan, Quintet Basquiat Strings and The New Young Pony Club, and Brit Britishson and The British Brits. (OK, we made that last one up. But we could have made most of them up, right?)
