In her new film Lizzie, Chloë Sevigny stars as Lizzie Borden, the main suspect in one of the most infamous murder trials in American history, who was tried (and eventually acquitted) for the murder of her father and stepmother. Borden, after a lifetime of loneliness under the control of her austere, domineering father, finds refuge in the intimate relationship she forms with her housemaid Bridget Sullivan, played by Kristen Stewart, and their secret intimacy sparks the unthinkable act.
