Kristen Stewart in talks to join Ang Lee’s Iraq War film
Kristen Stewart is reportedly in talks to appear in Ang Lee’s Billy Lynn’s Long Halftime Walk, based on the bestselling novel about Billy Lynn, a young Texas-born soldier who survives a firefight in Iraq and embarks on a victory lap through Texas arranged by the Bush administration. Newcomer Joe Alwyn is set to play Billy, and Garrett Hedlund and Steve Martin are also already attached to the film.
Stewart is in talks to join as Billy’s older sister Kathryn in the production, slated to begin later this month. Stewart has starred in a string of indies in the past year—including Still Alice and Camp X-Ray—and earlier this year, she became the first American actress to win France’s Cesar Award for her role in Clouds Of Sils Maria. But even as she continues to snag roles in films directed by big names, the question on every KStew fan’s mind remains: When is she going to be in another music video?
