Krysten Ritter already found another place to be a b----, this time on NBC

The cancellation of Don’t Trust The B—— In Apartment 23 may have left Krysten Ritter unemployed, but as the saying goes, it’s better to light a candle than curse the darkness in an awkwardly censored way. Ritter herself has taken a proactive step by signing on to NBC’s upcoming Assistance, the sitcom based on Bachelorette screenwriter Leslye Headland’s play about the inherent suckiness of being an assistant. She’ll star as the aide to a powerful movie producer, a woman described as boasting “a sex appeal directly proportional to her anxiety level,” suggesting the closer she gets to a total mental breakdown, the hotter she is. (This character trait surely only complicates her attempts to find balance between her fiancé and her “work husband,” as the stress only makes her more irresistible to both, thus causing more sexy stress.) No one else has been cast yet, meaning there’s still time for James Van Der Beek to join this show as himself, and then it’ll be almost like that cancellation never happened. They could rename it —-istance.
