Krysten Ritter to make her directorial debut in season 3 of Jessica Jones

According to Deadline, Krysten Ritter is going to continue her gradual takeover of all entertainment mediums by making her directorial debut during the third season of her Netflix Marvel show Jessica Jones. That’s after she already starred in one of the most under-appreciated comedy shows of the decade, wrote a “surprisingly moving” thriller novel, and had a relatively brief-yet-hugely impactful role on Breaking Bad. We don’t know anything about the episode of Jessica Jones that Ritter will be directing, as we don’t know anything at all about the third season of Jessica Jones, but we can safely assume that the new episodes will concern the ongoing collapse of Jessica Jones’ professional life (but maybe not her personal life, for once) as well as Trish Walker’s continued transformation into a super-powered butt-kicker like her comic book counterpart.

We don’t know when the third season of Jessica Jones will hit Netflix, but the streaming service supposedly has a third season of Daredevil that’s ready to go and will most likely premiere first. Hopefully, we’ll learn more about all of Netflix’s Marvel shows at the big Iron Fist-centric Comic-Con panel next month.
