Kurt Braunohler and Kristen Schaal remade Natalie Imbruglia’s “Torn” video for Mikal Cronin

You can do a lot of dumb shit with $5,000. You can buy 15,000 limes, see 500 matinee movie screenings, or buy a semi-junky car and drive it into a lake. You can also film a pseudo-shot-by-shot reenactment of Natalie Imbruglia’s “Torn” music video. That’s what Kurt Braunohler and Kristen Schaal did: The pair were given $5,000 by Jash, paired up with most excellent musician Mikal Cronin, and told to do whatever they wanted, as long there was a video at the end. The resulting clip for Cronin’s “Turn Around” is surreal and stupid, full of comedian cameos and Cronin weirdness, and goes a long way toward proving how great an actress Schaal really is. There’s also a giant Kool-Aid man, for what that’s worth.
