Kurt Russell may act around more cars going very fast in Fast & Furious 7
Sensing that the seventh edition of the Fast & Furious franchise could use a little extra dignity, and after a failed experiment with giving all the cars mustaches, Universal has entered talks with Kurt Russell about joining the ensemble cast. Variety reports that the as-yet-undisclosed role is the same one that was previously offered to Denzel Washington, suggesting it’s likely some sort of veteran cop or agent or something whose methods may be a little askew, but damn if they don’t get results and also show these young guys a thing or two about a thing or two. Should Russell sign on, it would be his first major film role since starring in Quentin Tarantino’s Death Proof, a movie in which he also worked with cars that go very fast. So, that should really give him an “in” during his job interview. “I also have experience with computers that wear tennis shoes,” Russell probably noted on his résumé, ha ha, it’s fun being silly about things we have no actual information on.
