Though his Vatican drama wasn't picked up at Showtime, Kyle Chandler will rebound by bringing his dreamy, even-keeled nature to a new Netflix series. The Friday Night Lights coach will star in a new, as-yet-unnamed 13-episode thriller from the creators of Damages. The show centers around a family of adult siblings “whose secrets and scars come to light with the return of their black sheep brother,” Danny. Chandler will play John, the responsible, married middle brother, who's described as the type of guy “who would work in law enforcement”—though whether his character actually does work in law enforcement is unclear. Still, it’s easy to imagine the former Coach Taylor as a cop, meting out slow, fair judgments that even the most hardened criminals couldn’t be mad at him for rendering.
