Lakeith Stanfield on how he became a church crooner for Come Sunday

Based on a true story, Netflix’s new film Come Sunday follows renowned pastor Carlton Pearson, played by Chiwetel Ejiofor, who puts his family and reputation at risk when he questions the church doctrine and his own belief in a vengeful God. We spoke with Lakeith Stanfield, who co-stars as Reggie, the church’s music director and organist, about transforming from a non-singer to a church crooner for the film.
