Lamb Of God frontman arrested in Prague on suspicion of manslaughter

Randy Blythe, lead singer for the metal group Lamb Of God, has been arrested in Prague on suspicion of manslaughter. The arrest stems from an incident at one of the band’s shows in 2010 where a fan rushed the stage and was pushed back into the audience by Blythe. The fan landed on his head, was hospitalized, and eventually died. If convicted, the singer faces five to 10 years in prison.

The Lamb Of God camp has proclaimed Blythe’s innocence, saying that he’s been wrongly accused and that they "expect him to be fully exonerated." Last night, the band tweeted "#FreeRandyBlythe," and today the band’s publicist released a preliminary statement saying that no formal charges have yet been filed, and as such the band’s management won’t be making a full statement until next week, when the whole situation will hopefully become a little more clear.
