Larry Wilmore’s upset his show missed “all the best worst racial stuff”
Larry Wilmore’s The Nightly Show is no more. This is sad for a number of reasons, one of which is that the world is a batshit crazy place these days. Wilmore, specifically, used his time on fellow Daily Show alum Stephen Colbert’s The Late Show to express how disappointed he is that his show got canceled just as “all the best worst racial stuff started happening.”
You know what he means. “Hillary calls Trump a bigot. He calls her a bigot. He’s going on his Mexican tour,” Wilmore explained, also reference Colin Kaepernick’s refusal to stand for the national anthem. He reiterated: “All the best racial stuff happens now when I lose my show.”
Later, Colbert and Wilmore bonded about how they both had the honor of pissing people off at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner. Lest you forget, Colbert eviscerated George W. Bush to his face, and Wilmore had the honor of someone giving him the finger mid-speech before he called Barack Obama “my n—.” “Those people have nuclear launch codes but they can’t take a fucking joke,” Colbert said, flouting the CBS censors and getting pretty riled up himself.
