Lars von Trier's Nymphomaniac may get web series, potentially bringing pornography to Internet

While Lars von Trier’s Nymphomaniac is set to plunge its two parts into America this spring, like Charlotte Gainsbourg’s titular, tit-ular, sexual Zelig, getting just two parts in is hardly enough. It’s already assumed that the uncut version will also pop up at some point, looking much bigger and definitely floppier in its impressive (or so we’ve been told) five-and-a-half hour length. There was also some talk of Nymphomaniac bringing along a companion series, for an uncomfortable attempt at ménage a trois with frigid television. But now it seems that any small-screen Nymphomaniac might just be “a series for Internet distribution,” according to producer Louise Vesth, who told Cineuropa (via The Playlist) that such plans were in the works, but didn’t elaborate on whether its content would be culled from the movie or created new, likely with less famous penises. However, this should be reassuring news for those who have often wished they could watch naked people having sex on their computers.
