Laurence Fishburne is doing a Walter Mosley TV show for HBO

Fifteen years after playing the improbably-named Socrates Fortlow in the made-for-HBO movie Always Outnumbered, Laurence Fishburne is returning to the role in a new series he's developing for the network. Like that earlier film, The Right Mistake is based on a series of books by Walter Mosley (best known for his Easy Rawlins series of mysteries). Each book is a collection of interconnected short stories that follow Fortlow as he tries to walk the straight and narrow after serving a long jail sentence for murder. Mosley will be co-writing the adaptation with Bones writer Patrick Charles. No word yet as to whether this new show will interfere with Fishburne's role on Hannibal.
