Fresh off waging war on Scientology with her A&E documentary series Leah Remini: Scientology And The Aftermath, actress Leah Remini is getting back together with her old TV husband. Variety reports that Remini has signed on to serve as a series regular on Kevin Can Wait, Kevin James’ latest CBS sitcom. Remini and James played husband and wife together for nine years on the network’s previous fat-guy-hot-wife mainstay, The King Of Queens.
Remini previously popped up on the finale of Kevin Can Wait’s first season, playing an undercover cop who used to be the partner of James’ retired police officer. (In an episode titled “Sting Of Queens,” which, to be fair, kind of made us laugh.) The character will return for the show’s previously announced second season, taking on a larger, more continuously nostalgic role in James’ character’s life.
